I took Public Relations Writing with Dr. Meta G. Carstarphen, Ph.D., APR during the fall 2016 semester. I created PR components for the OU Italian Section throughout the semester. As my final project, I developed a Facebook page for the Italian Section and executed a week-long social media campaign. I have included 10 of my favorite and most notable pieces from the semester below.
I created a historical backgrounder for the OU Italian Section to increase awareness about the history of the program.
I created a biographical backgrounder about the OU Italian Section head, Daniela Busciglio. I chose to feature Busciglio because she is a prominent figure in the Italian Section and an important resource for any student interested in studying Italian at OU.

I created a theoretical informational news release to educate the media and OU community about two new spring 2017 Italian instructors.
Event News Release.
I created a theoretical event news release to educate the media and the OU community about an upcoming event hosted by the OU Italian club and Italian Section.
I created a theoretical media advisory to announce an event hosted by the OU Italian Section.
I created an event infographic to promote a book and bake sale hosted by the Italian club and Italian Section.
I created an informational infographic with general facts about the Italian Section.
Feature Pitch Email.
I created a theoretical feature pitch email with a bold subject line and lead. I provided the reporter with minimal information about the new Italian Section teaching assistants so she would hopefully contact me with further questions.
