While serving as copy chief of the OU Daily, I began writing food articles to bring more excitement and personal interest to my workload. My articles were a big hit! My first article (about a famous Norman queso recipe) received over 21,000 hits. The Daily editorial board appreciated my articles because they fostered a less-serious and lighthearted mood during an age of controversial media.
